Heaven's Children - Chapter 8
Full Circle
For the next couple years, life was bliss. Stone and Lectress kept to Solace, raising the children as a normal family would. They visited the main house often, the family simply assuming that they had become the inseparable pair again. That Stone was just lending a hand to a sister with so much on her plate. It was quickly agreed to though, that as a whole pair once more, Stone became a more rounded out man, gentler and wiser. Lect smiled more, was more relaxed and truly playful again. When asked why they weren't out dating, Lectress simply stated that she was too busy, while Stone

Heaven's Children - Chapter 3
A Younger Man, a New Man
Stone had opted to walk rather than fly, hoping that the weeks his journey would take could help him regain his wits. Gradually the roads become increasingly familiar. It had been seven years since he had made this journey home. Yet it all seemed as if it had been decades ago. He had so few cares back then. Staring at the road ahead he could just begin to make out the trees and hills he had known so well. His mind slid back on its own to that time seven years ago, when he supposed all his trouble had begun. Back to a much younger man, a very naive man with a woman at his
I can't see you as often.
The timing's never right, or
I'm preoccupied, naive.
But you're still there, aren't you?
Still soft in your gaze, yet
Cold in conversation.
Would you still take the weight of my tears?
Support me emotionless, then
I pretend it never happened.
Words are no longer just words.
But you don't use them, just
A silent stare before you move on.
You watch me always.
Laughing or sulking, but
There nonetheless.
So catch me when I cry to the sea,
And moon be my friend; even
When I forget.
Emotions enclose me here
Pretending that I hear no one
And no one hears me
Crying to comprehend.
Should I cut out my heart?
So that I may come to God
Both heartless and pure?
Would he care?
And in this beautiful escape
There is no release.
No place far enough from my reality
Only my hidden sanctuary
Wrapped in my own ignorance
I sleep while the world lives
Walk while the angels run past
And merely speak while devils converse
Should I know better?
I think there is no better
An image only of how it is
I can't see you as often.
The timing's never right, or
I'm preoccupied, naive.
But you're still there, aren't you?
Still soft in your gaze, yet
Cold in conversation.
Would you still take the weight of my tears?
Support me emotionless, then
I pretend it never happened.
Words are no longer just words.
But you don't use them, just
A silent stare before you move on.
You watch me always.
Laughing or sulking, but
There nonetheless.
So catch me when I cry to the sea,
And moon be my friend; even
When I forget.
